Why we exist

Why we exist

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We do this through a programme of indoor and outdoor activities where they can have fun while they are learning.

About Beavers

Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. They take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities. They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.

We have two Colonies, one based in West Harrow and the other in Harrow Weald.

About Cubs

A Cub Scout Pack takes part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors. Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.

We have two Packs, one based in West Harrow and the other in Harrow Weald. We meet on Mondays between 6:45pm and 8:15pm.

About Scouts

Outdoor activities feature prominently in the Troop programme, with a one week Summer Camp being the highlight of the year's programme. Scouts learn various skills such as camping, cooking, archery, watersports, independence and team work.

We have one Troop and we alternate our location between West Harrow and Harrow Weald. We meet on Fridays between 7pm and 9pm.
